Besides certificates, the investigations carried out by the Chambers of Commerce are additional tools contributing to the disclosure of financial information concerning any business. Query results have no certification value. They allow full access to the information contained in the Register, thus allowing collecting a huger quantity of data compared to certificates.

Although they provide the same information, the documents including query results do not bear the signature of a Chamber of Commerce official, nor do they require any stamp, thus having no legal value and merely representing a source of information. Hence, paper or electronic documents containing query results can also be issued by unattended terminals (Telemaco Desk).

Besides certificates and query results providing legal, administrative and financial information about businesses, different enquiries can also be carried out providing access to historical records, information about the filing of documents and the ownership structure.
