PROTECT ENTERPRISES AND CONSUMERS

Reform Law no. 580/1993 entrusted the Chambers of Commerce with the task of attending to the general interests of the production system and market development throughout the territory. Said market includes, on the same grounds, both enterprises and consumers. Their relations, also subject to the rapid evolution of the whole economic system, require more and more complex and refined regulations, inspired to the principles of equal protection for all actors involved in economic transactions.

The activities carried out by the Chambers System within this framework are the following:

Alternative dispute resolution: Conciliation and Arbitration
Standard contracts
Vexatious Clauses
Patents and Trademarks
Legal Metrology
Inspections and Penalties
Collection of Practices and Customs
Competitions with Prizes
