PROVIDE BUSINESSES WITH INFORMATION > Computerised Registers of Businesses

The Registers of Businesses, including the Business Register and the enclosed Repository of financial and administrative information (REA) provide a “picture” of each business, since the moment it is established. However, said “picture” is constantly updated, by recording any event and change a business undergoes throughout its life, until shutdown.

In order to provide reliable information, the aforesaid Register must be constantly updated and has to include exhaustive data. Hence, if they wish to obtain reliable and up-to-date business information, entrepreneurs must provide the Chambers of Commerce with data concerning their own enterprises, on their establishment, but also about any change occurring throughout their lives.

Questa banca dati, alimentata dalle informazioni delle anagrafi camerali e gestita da InfoCamere (la società di iThis database, encompassing the data provided by the Chambers Registers and managed by InfoCamere (the IT Company of the Chambers of Commerce), includes registration, administrative and financial data concerning single businesses (such as registration date, statutory structure, name, headquarters location, partnership/share capital, personnel and consultants, licences, authorisations and concessions, registration in Rolls, Registers, Lists, and so on).

Entrepreneurs are allowed real-time access to business-related information; they only need to enter the business’ registration number with the Chamber of Commerce (that is its tax code) as a password, or, for companies, either their names, or the name of one of their Directors or persons holding offices within the relevant enterprises. Besides obtaining detailed information about single businesses, it is also possible to search for data about business groups, by combining various search parameters (such as their composition, location, business area, legal structure, etc.).

It is clear, therefore, that the information provided by the database is extremely important to entrepreneurs, who are enabled to infer the data they need about the production capacity of single businesses and groups.
In order to streamline the above-mentioned operations, InfoCamere developed the Fedra, software, for the most frequent users of the Chambers information system (including notaries, agencies, business consultants, trade and professional associations, and single businesses). Said software allows quickly and easily filing registration and amendment applications with the Business Register; moreover, the Jorba, system allows surfing the Business Register data through a simple web interface.
Telemaco is a new interactive service, allowing registered users to go through all administrative formalities relating to the Chambers of Commerce on the web, thus entailing real-time access to the Chambers’ extremely large amount of information.
