| Training
is one of the traditional tasks carried
out by Chambers of Commerce; they provide
training either directly (through specific
services and dedicated management) or
through suitably established Special agencies.
At a national level, among the training
agencies of the Chambers system, the following
stand out:
AsseforCamere
(based in Rome and Florence), the
Guglielmo Tagliacarne Institute (based
in Rome), 'Ifoa
(Institute for the training of business
operators, based in Reggio Emilia), Formaper
(based in Milano).
Lifelong
learning
The training initiatives of the Chambers
of Commerce target different entrepreneurial
categories, ranging from service sector
operators (from traditional trade to advanced
services) to small entrepreneurs operating
in the manufacturing sector, managers
of agricultural activities, operators
in the environmental and energy sector,
etc. Sectors of intervention are identified
where the training demand is not met by
other agencies. Furthermore, the Chambers
of Commerce direct contact of with enterprises
allows seizing the needs for professional
growth and training existing throughout
the territory.
The users of the training services provided
by the Chambers system can be grouped
into two groups, namely entrepreneur
and direct collaborators of entrepreneurs and Aspiring
entrepreneurs.
School-job alternation
After the coming into force of Law no.
53 of March 28, 2003 (art.4), and following
the Memorandum of Understanding between
Unioncamere and the Ministry of Education,
the Chambers of Commerce, while coming
into contact with the student world, actively
participate in the promotion of joint
initiatives favouring the development
of links between the education system
and world of enterprises, with a view
to carrying out research studies and experiments
in the field of school-job alternation.
The Chambers System intervenes in two
of the phases concerning training and
stage on the job, envisaged for students
attending secondary schools. Firstly,
in the planning, implementation and evaluation
of training pathways; secondly, as potential
subjects in a regime of convention. Within
this framework, it is possible to include
the Polaris
(The Portal for Job Orientation, Alternation
and Linkage between Enterprises and Information
systems), that provides a full picture
by collecting students’ CVs and
stage offers made by companies, thus also
allowing sharing the tools and contents
supporting alternation pathways.
